The Factory at Franklin (Nashville)

Tonight was my first time to play drums in Nashville. It was pretty amazing. We played at a benefit show for Tennessee Marine families. The venue was an old warehouse that had been turned into a church. Very cool. I was able to see some old friends at tonight's show. One of which was my first piano teacher. (She once told me that if I ever wanted to play drums I needed to learn how to keep time..........don't tell anyone, but I'm still trying to learn!) The other friend was Racheal Decker from OKC. She moved out to Nashville about a year and a half ago. She was the one that got me started in radio at KOKF 91fm. We brought out a special guest electric guitar player tonight for our "Blues Song". Mr. Bob Hartman, founder of the revolutionary band Petra, jammed out with us on the blues. It was a dream come true for Nick our electric guitar player. They were both awesome on that song tonight. All in all tonight was a great night, I got to meet a lot of new people in addition to seeing some friends I haven't seen in awhile. New England here we come!

Ahh West Virginia

This past week has been an interesting one with van rentals, trailer rentals, and a really awesome gig. So after saturday night's gig with Audio A, we played an outdoor event at St. Timothy's Lutheran Church in Charleston, West Virginia. This was the first gig that the whole band got to hear my new kit. (I will post pictures of it soon) They were all really happy with it. Next stop: Springfield, Mo. then on to Nashville, TN!

Clarksburg, WV

Robert C. Byrd High School Football Stadium

We opened up for Sanctus Real, Skillet, & Audio Adrenaline tonight. What an experience! This was probably the coolest, most unbelievable show we have played so far. Most of these bands I have grown up listening to, so sharing the stage with them tonight was pretty amazing. All of the members of each band were great guys. I started the day watching Audio Adrenaline's bus backing in to unload their stuff. The day ended with Randall, Nick, Paul, and I shooting the breeze with a couple of Audio A's guys and their lighting guy on the Audio A bus. Somebody pinch me. Thanks be to God for this open door. Thank you for your prayers. If you think about it we are having some van problems so if you would send one up for us! On to charleston, wv.

I Love America!

Springfield, MO

Today we were fortunate enough be able to play at James River Assembly's annual July 4th celebration called I Love America. I'm pretty sure that this was the biggest crowd I have every played in front of. The total count for the day's attendance was 115,000 people. At the time we played there were probably around 50,000-60,000. During the day there were several bands and an air show. Towards the end of the day Reggie Dabbs spoke an annointed message that several hundreds responded to. At 9:00 pm the local CBS affilate broadcasted the James River Assembly Concert in the Sky. This concert featured the choir and orchestra in unison with an incredible fireworks display. To cap off the whole event was the band Sanctus Real, they did a great job.

This opportunity is just another display of something that only God can do. It was only two years ago that I heard of this event, and now I've had the opportunity to play at it. He is amazing!

Afternoon Cookout in Thompson

We also had the opportunity to play at the afternoon picnic for High Pointe. There were about 600 people and Bar-B-Q there. So, it was a good time. Alright lookout here comes the 25+ hour trip back to Springfield for the 4th of July and the I Love America celebration.

Thompson, CT

We played the morning services this morning at High Pointe Community Church in Thompson, CT. It was good to get to play praise and worship again. Man, there is just something about a group of people getting together to praise their King. Awesome. The church had just got the new digital front of house soundboard from Yamaha, very nice! We had a "green room" that was actually green. It was stocked with cokes, bottled waters, muffins, fruit, and most importantly: Dunkin Donuts.
